100 year anniversary of Copenhagen Philatelist Club.

This years Danish National Stamp Exhibition will be held in the center of Copenhagen October 18.-20. The exhibition celebrates the 100 year anniversary of Philatelic Society which is a subsection og the oldest stamp club in Denmark Copenhagen Philatelist Club.

  The exhibition will pay particular attention to Iceland's Philately and I have managed to get our mutual friend Douglas Storckenfelt to exhibit his magnificent exhibit Classical Iceland up to 1902 in 8 frames with all its iconic material.

  In collaboration with our late friend Johnny Pernerfors, "Foreningen Islandssamlarne" in Sweden has furthermore been allocated 25 frames - out of competition - and in which interesting material from all aspects of Iceland's philately can be shown. 

Johnny and my ambition was that these frames can be used to show some interesting material that are not shown as competition exhibits. This idea was launched in Göteborg back in 2012 at the 50 year anniversary of "Islandssamlarne". This was a great success.

  Also the worlds best stamp exhibit in 2018, Mr Peter Wittstens exhibit og Classical Sweden will be shown in 8 frames.
